Standard Workplace Emergency First Aid (SWEFA)

Summary

Two-day course offering an overview of first aid and cardiopulmonaryresuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace.

Day 1 is a WorkplaceEmergency First Aid (WEFA) course which is the equivalent of WorkSafeBC’s Occupational First Aid Level 1. The WEFA course meets OHS regulations and is accepted by WorkSafe BC.

Day 2 is the second day of a StandardFirst Aid course. Includes head and spine injuries, poisons, sudden medical emergencies and CPR C (children, infant and Adult CPR).

Two certificates issued upon successful completion - Red Cross WEFA and Standard First Aid.

100% attendance, skills demonstration, and 70% pass on written exam required to successfully complete the course.

3-year certification.

Course length: 16 hours
